it started with a kiss, of kind. when undercover’s jun takahashi an cult label good enough met, obviously the union of two of the world’s most culturally rampant and fashionable entities was going to cause a bit of a stir, to say the least. each party has earned themselves a following of some of the most die-hard, cult-like, loyal fans on the planet, and (without sounding too corny) this joint project was created with these people in mind as much as anyone else. which is a nice thing to do, no? the collaboration started with an extremely limited good enough t-shirt that was nicely ‘undercovered’ — that is to say, each t-shirt was very subtly subverted with bold hand-stitching. then the undercover team took the t-shirt as inspiration for what they describe as their ‘eye catching all-over-print series’ — essentially these are t-shirts with more print than shirt, and it’s the quality of the prints that really sets them apart from anything else you might find on the racks this summer. each design is a logical creative step forward from the previous one. starting with an all over lumberjack check, the design then develops into dots, then the reliefs of the dots, then onto two distinctive bandana designs.
